Viola Rose Tusa from Bayonne, NJ passed away peacefully in her sleep at home June 29, 2024. 

Viola(Vie) was born on July 3, 1938 in Monongahela, PA. She grew up with incredibly loving parents, Elmer and Effie Rosensteel and was the youngest of 7 siblings. She moved to New Jersey in  1958 where she raised her children and worked for Chris' Corner  Restaurant  and the Bayonne Board of Education. Vie was a devoted mother and grandmother. Family was the center of her life and she loved with her entire heart.

Vie was a magician in the kitchen. She could whip up any dish and was known for her delicious and beautiful cakes especially pistachio. She loved playing dice, rooting for the Yankees and loving her family. Vie had a contagious personality. She was witty, smart, kind and compassionate. 

Vie was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Tusa, son, Tony Tusa, and grandson, Todd Hiles. She is survived by her devoted children, Clifford Tusa and Deborah(Joe) Heaney. She was the cherished grandmother of Tara Reilly (Kevin) and Tina Cichetti (Brian) and proud great grandmother of Cole.

Vie will be forever missed by her family and friends.

Services will be held on Wednesday, July 10th from 3:00to 7:00 PM Dzikowski, Pierce & Levis Funeral Home in Bayonne.
