Richard K. Laucella of Bayonne passed away on Tuesday November 12, 2013 at the age of 47. He was born in Jersey City and was a lifetime resident of Bayonne. Richard graduated Bayonne High School in 1984 and attended Jersey City State College and Montclair State University. He was a substitute school teacher for the Bayonne School System and taught school in Charlotte N.C., where he was the assistant band director. He also worked for NASCAR in N.C. and was a member of the Bayonne Bridgeman Drum & Bugle Corps, world champion snare drum line. Richard was predeceased by his grandparents, Chester & Olga Paczkowski and his sister Sandy. He is survived by his mother, Barbara (nee Paczkowski) Laucella-Matthews and her husband James Matthews; a brother Robert J. Laucella; aunt & uncle, Dolores & Carman DeLorenzo; nieces and nephew, Jane, Madeline and Bobby. Visitation will be at the Dzikowski, Pierce & Levis Funeral Home, 24-32 East 19th Street, Bayonne, on Saturday from 12:00 to 3:00 in the afternoon, with a prayer service at 2:30 p.m..
