Mary (nee Andrejewski) Socha passed away on Thursday, August 11th, 2016 at the age of 93. She was born in Jersey City on June 27th, 1923 to John & Stella (nee Olkiewicz) Andrzejewski. Mary was one of 12 children. She was a resident of Bayonne for many years until she recently moved to Mendham, NJ. She was a seamstress for many years working in the Jersey City and Bayonne residential areas prior to retiring. Mary is predeceased by her husband, Leon Socha; her daughter, Sharon Socha; and 10 of her 11 siblings. She is survived by her children: Maryann Russello, Leon S. Socha, Ronald Socha, Gregory Socha, Steven Socha, and Lorraine Socha-Ponik; a sister Regina "Irene" Biancamano; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Visitation will occur on Sunday, August 14th, 2016 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at the Dzikowski, Pierce & Levis Funeral Home located at 24 East 19th Street, Bayonne. The funeral will be held on Monday morning at 9:00 am from the funeral home follow by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at Blessed Miriam Teresa Demjanovich Parish in Saint Mary Star of the Sea Church located at 326 Avenue C, Bayonne. Interment to follow in Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
