Marie E. (nee Rudy) Maksel of Bayonne passed away on Tuesday September 23, 2014 at the age of 87. She was born in Bayonne and lived most of her life there. Marie was a custodian for the Bayonne Board of Education for 10 years prior to her retirement in 1997. She was a member of Saint Joseph's Church Senior Citizens, Rosary Society, League of Catholic Action and the Knitwits. Mrs. Maksel was predeceased by her husband Victor Maksel; a daughter Patricia Marie Tenety; and her siblings, Helen Rutkowski, Stephen Rudy, Edward Rudy and Teresa McDaniel. She is survived by her daughters, Susan M. Silva and Donna M. Goepfert; also survived by 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren Visitation will be at the Dzikowski, Pierce & Levis Funeral Home, 24 East 19th Street, Bayonne, on Friday, September 26th from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. The funeral will be on Saturday, September 27th from the funeral home at 9:00 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Michael / Saint Joseph Church, 21 East 23rd Street, Bayonne. Interment to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington, N.J.
