Maria (nee Kasprzyk) Baczyk of Bayonne passed away on Tuesday October 21, 2014 at the age of 83. She was born in Poland and settled in the United States in 1965. She then lived in Jersey City for 5 years, moving to Bayonne where she lived most of her life. She was a custodian for Commercial Trust Bank of Jersey City for 20 years before here retirement 20 years ago. Maria enjoyed gardening and having family around her. Maria is predeceased by her husband, Wladyslaw Baczyk. She is survived by her children Adele Buzinkai (William), Ted Baczyk (Roseanne), Joseph Baczyk (Anne Marie), Krystyna Hopf (Bill), Donna Bilak (Bill), Richie Baczyk (Ethel) and George Baczyk; grandchildren, Nicole, William, Jillian, Olivia, Zachary, Taylor and Rebecca; a great-grandchild Caden; niece, Olga Stupka; nephew George Stupka; and great niece Helen Duddy. Maria also has family living in Poland. Visitation will be at the Dzikowski, Pierce & Levis Funeral Home, 24 East 19th Street, Bayonne on Friday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. The funeral will be Saturday from the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. followed by the Funeral Service at 9:30 a.m. in the 3Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Saint Sophia, 29 West 22nd Street, Bayonne. Interment to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington.
