Lorraine K. (nee Schaefer) Carne, a lifelong resident of Bayonne, passed away on Thursday April 14, 2016 at the age of 88. She was a custodian for the Bayonne Board of Education for 15 years prior to her retirement. Lorraine was predeceased by her husband Albert Carne, Sr.; parents Frank & Katherine "Kitty" (nee Hayden) Schaefer; son Albert Carne; siblings Eleanore Brady, Dorothy Kackos, Robert, Terrance, and Gregory Schaefer. Lorraine is survived by her sons, Daniel Carne & his wife Kathleen and John Carne; siblings Richard and John Schaefer; sister-in-laws Clare and Mona Schaelfer; and a grandson Michael Carne. Visitation is Tuesday, April 19th from 3:00 - 7:00 pm at the DZIKOWSKI, PIERCE & LEVIS FUNERAL HOME, 24 East 19th Street, Bayonne, NJ. Funeral will be Wednesday, April 20th from the funeral home at 10:00 am followed by Mass at 11:00 am at Blessed Miriam Teresa Demjanovich Parish in St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 2 West 4th Street, Bayonne, NJ. Burial will follow at Saint Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Blessed Miriam Teresa Demjanovich Parish - Food Pantry.
