Leon F. Gunsiorowski, son of Zygmunt and Sophie (Trajanowski) Gunsiorowski, age of 85 of Venice FL passed away peacefully on April 14, 2015. He moved to Venice, FL in 2001 after living in Bayonne, NJ since birth. Leon proudly served as a Merchant Marine and was honorably discharged in 1946. Having been employed by Texaco as a Barge Captain he retired in 1991. Many Bayonne residents will remember him as the owner of the Clear Deck Tavern and trailer court. He loved to sail, tell stories, laugh, and be with his family. Leon was predeceased by his beloved wife Ann (Kielich) Gunsiorowski, his daughter Rhoda Dyer, his brothers Walter, Edward, Joseph, and Frank, his grandmother Josephine Olszewski and his Uncle Bruno Olszewski. He is survived by his son Jay Brown and wife Dawn, his dearly loved Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren; Dr. Kelly (Dyer) Perry, Dr. Jodi (Dyer) Richardson, Rachel and Jessica Brown, Great Grandchildren Anna and Rebecca Richardson, brother Bernard, sister Margaret Gunsiorowski and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org) or Make-A-Wish Foundation (www.wish.org). Visitation from 4-8 PM Wednesday April 22nd at Dzikowski, Pierce, and Levis Funeral Home, 24 East 19th St. Bayonne. Funeral Mass 10:00 AM Thursday April 23rd at Our Lady of Mount Saint Carmel Church 39 East 22nd St. Bayonne. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington. Service
