Kelly R. (nee McKiernan) Goufas of Toms River (formerly of Bayonne) passed away on Sunday February 2, 2014 at home. She was 61. Born in Jersey City she had lived in Bayonne for several years prior to moving to Toms River 20 years ago. Kelly was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Mary (nee Healy) McKiernan. She is survived by husband Edward Goufas; sons Thomas and Christopher Goufas; sister-in-law Florence Goufas; and Kelly's friend Joyce Gonzalez. Kelly was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Secaucus Chapter and was also a past state officer for the Order of the Eastern Star. Visitation will be at the Dzikowski, Pierce & Levis Funeral Home, 24 East 19th Street, Bayonne, on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 10:00 a.m. Interment in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
