Josephine Schutte Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Josephine Schutte, 96 years of age, who passed away peacefully at Bayonne Medical Center surrounded by her family. Josephine was born June 11, 1926 in Bavonne and was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Loretta (nee:Tullo) Santa Maria. Early in her life Josephine worked as a seamstress at Maidenform Co. and then as a solderer at Western Electric in Kearny for over 25 years.

Josephine was preceded in death by her beloved husbands William Carroll Sr. and Frank Schutte: her adored children William Carroll Jr., Marilyn Meehan and Joyce Ann Gorski, her dearly loved siblings Connie Tamarro, Victoria Palmisano, Phyllis Kutcher, August, Philip and Albert. Josephine leaves behind her grandchildren Michael Shine (Bobbi Ann), Dana Squiteri RN (Phillip), Keith Gorski (Dena), Nicholas Gorski (Quinn), Kelly Duch (John) and Kimberly Meehan. Josephine is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Also surviving, are many nieces, nephews and friends.

Josephine was an extraordinary women who lived lite to the fullest and touched many lives.

Friends, family and others are invited to a memorial mass in Josephine's honor which will be held on Thursday, Jan. 26th at 10:30 AM at St. John Paul II Parish of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 39 East 22 Street in Bayonne. Cremation is private. Arrangements are being handled by the Dzikowski, Pierce & Levis Funeral Home, 24-32 E. 19th St., Bayonne, NJ 07002. Donations can be made to her favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
