John Lewis "Louie" Vinci, a lifelong resident of Bayonne, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2017 at the age of 79. John retired, after 25 years, from the N.J. Turnpike Authority where he served in the road maintenance department. After his retirement, he worked part time for the lunch program in the Bayonne school system. John was predeceased by his parents John & Reba (nee Cassatt) Vinci; siblings Tonsi Vinci, Florence Dynega, and Ann Abuselman; grandsons John Vinci Jr. and Thomas Smyth. He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years Rita (nee Wisniewski) Vinci; son John Vinci & his wife Kelly and their children Brian, Michael, & Lucas Vinci; step-daughter Joanne Squitieri & her husband Mark and their son Mark Thomas Squitieri. Also survived by 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Dzikowski, Pierce & Levis Funeral Home, 24 East 19th Street, Bayonne, on Thursday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Prayer Service will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Route 1 North, Woodbridge.
