John A. Miller Obituary

John A. Miller of Bayonne passed away on Thursday January 30, 2014 at the age of 68, with his loving family at his side. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana he had lived in Elizabeth, NJ before moving to Bayonne 35 years ago. He was a Booking Clerk for Zim Lines Trucking Company of New York City for 6 years prior to his retirement in 2001. Prior to that, he was with Puerto Rican Marine Management in Edison for 8 years and Sea Land in Elizabeth for 33 years. Mr. Miller was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. John enjoyed model train shows and displays. Mr. Miller is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Helen M. (nee O'Rourke); a son Tom Miller and his fiancé Sarah Wich; and a brother Roger Miller. Visitation will be at the Dzikowski, Pierce & Levis Funeral Home, 24 East 19th Street, Bayonne on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a 12:30 p.m. chapel service in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Road, Wrightstown, N.J. In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
