Jean H. (nee McHale) Wernock of Bayonne passed away on Monday October 20, 2014 at the age of 82. She was born in Jersey City and had lived in Bayonne for 54 years. Jean was employed as an assembler for Collgate-Palmolive in Jersey City for 10 years prior to working for Bay Ridge Lumber in Bayonne as a secretary for 5 years. She retired 12 years ago. Jean was predeceased by her husband Leo Wernock; siblings, Mary Nienstadt, Loretta Stein, Leo, Cletus and Joseph McHale. She is survived by her four children, Kevin Wernock, Karen Kaczka, Joseph Wernock and Leo Wernock; a sister Joan Kelly; grandchildren David Kaczka and Bridget Kaczka, Anthony Wernock and Leo Wernock IV. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at the Dzikowski, Pierce & Levis Funeral Home, 24 East 19th Street, Bayonne on Thursday from 3 - 7 p.m. The funeral will be Friday from the funeral home at 9:00 a.m. followed by the Funeral Liturgy at 10:00 am in Saint Andrew The Apostle Church, 125 Broadway, Bayonne.
