Janice Mezzacappa

Janice Mezzacappa (Oberwanowicz), 59, passed away suddenly at her residence in Monroe Township on July 6th, 2022. Cherished daughter of Margaret Oberwanowicz (Storfira) and the late Alexander Oberwanowicz. She was predeceased by her brother Gary Oberwanowicz. Dear aunt of Hope and Jacob Oberwanowicz. Former sister-in-law of Nancy Johnson. Dear niece of John Storfira and the late Maureen Storira. Survived by many cousins in California, Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York City. NY. Dearest friend of Claire M. Malecky and he husband John.

Janice had been employed for many years at J. H. Cohen in Roseland and the former Military Ocean Terminal (MOT), Bayonne. She was educated in the Bayonne school system. She enjoyed life and had a constant smile on her face. She also enjoyed traveling abroad and statewide, fine food, old movies and had a passion for photography of nature.

The family will be receiving friends and relatives at the Dzikowski, Pierce and Levis Funeral Home, 24-32 East 19' Street, Bayonne on Monday August 1s from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM.

Funeral mass at St Vincent DePaul Church, 979 Avenue “C” at 11:00 AM.

Cremation private.
