James C. Costello Obituary

James C. Costello of Bayonne passed away on Saturday September 13, 2014 at the age of 90. He was born in Bayonne and was lifetime resident. James was a train operator for Texaco in Bayonne for over 30 years prior to his retirement 30 years ago. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII, a member of the Bayonne American Legion Mackenzie Post 165, Bayonne Catholic War Veterans Post 1612, Saint Andrew's Church Ushers and Holy Name Society, the 27th Street Senior Citizens Club and was an avid Yankee and Giants fan. Mr. Costello was the beloved husband for 62 years to Helen (nee Funk) Costello. He was the brother of the late Paul and Thomas Costello and the late Edward Krug. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Dzikowski, Pierce, & Levis Funeral Home, 24 East 19th Street, Bayonne, NJ on Wednesday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. The funeral will be conducted on Thursday from the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. followed by the Funeral Liturgy in Saint Andrew's Church, 125 Broadway, Bayonne, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
