Henry C. Pavlak, a lifelong resident of Bayonne, passed away at home peacefully on Friday, October 16, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was 98. Henry was the eldest of six children born to the late Frank and Stella (nee: Bajorska) Pavlak. Henry retired from the Exxon refinery in Bayonne in 1983 after 38 years of service and was a member of the Exxon Mobil Annuitants Club. He was an avid reader and an excellent cook. He enjoyed working on his house and always had a project in the works. Henry was a veteran of World War II, having proudly served his country in the United States Army in the Asia-Pacific Theater. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 41 years Rose (nee: Carne) and his siblings: Frank, Charles, Jean Kuklinski and Irene Dietz. Surviving to cherish his memory and mourn his loss are his children: Elaine Pavlak, Henry Pavlak & his wife Patricia, Judith Lynch & her husband Patrick; his dear sister, Theresa Pavlak; devoted grandchildren: Allison Vieira, Jessica Hernandez, Andrew Pavlak, Patrick Lynch, Jr.; and three precious great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at the Dzikowski, Pierce & Levis Funeral Home, 24 East 19th Street, Bayonne on Tuesday, October 20th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The funeral will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday, October 21st at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Andrew the Apostle Church, 125 Broadway, Bayonne. Burial will follow in Saint Gertrude's Cemetery, 53 Inman Avenue, Colonia, N.J.
