IntermentHelena T. (Lubera) Mifsud of Woodbridge, NJ passed away on October 19, 2013. She was Born on September 17, 1921 in Olean, New York and lived in Bayonne before moving to St. Joseph's Seniors Residence three years ago. Visitation will be held at the Dzikowski, Pierce & Levis Funeral Home, 24-32 East 19th Street, Bayonne, on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.. The funeral will be held from the funeral home on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. followed by the Funeral Liturgy in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, East 22nd Street, Bayonne at 10:00 am. Interment will be in Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City. She was a Registered Nurse with A.T.&T. Health Care Unit in New York City for 17 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church Rosary Society and Choir, the Telephone Pioneers of American and the Bayonne Downtown Seniors Club at St. Andrew's Church. Helena was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Lubera; beloved wife of the late Paul Mifsud; devoted mother of Barbara and her husband Richard Klimkiewicz, Christine and her husband Peter Podbielski, Robert and his wife Mary, Elaine Lindberg, and the late Thomas Mifsud. She was predeceased by her brother Stanley Lubera and leaves behind her sisters Rose Parlock, Anne Lubera and Sophia Lynch. Also survived by her beloved grandchildren Steven and Thomas Klimkiewicz, Kasia, Ksandek, Janka, and Pavel Podbielski, Ramon Lindberg, Karin and Kristine Mifsud. Her beloved great grandchildren Kyle, Kaylee and Jackson Klimkiewicz and her many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers it is requested that contributions be made in memory to St. Joseph's Seniors Residence 1 St. Joseph's Terrace, Woodbridge, NJ 07095-2648.
