Helen E. (nee Bujnowski) Sharp of Bayonne passed away on Friday October 25, 2013 with her loving family at her side, at the age of 99. She was born in Bayonne and was a lifetime resident. Hel en was an entrepreneur starting many years ago by opening Helen's Candy Store, then Helen's coffee Shop before opening Helen's Antiques (all on Broadway) in 1974, then retired in 2006. Mrs. Sharp was the beloved wife of the late M. Warren Sharp; mother of Carolyn Merkovsky & her husband Richard and the late June McGowan; sister of John Bujnowski & his late wife Ruth, Peter Bujnowski & his wife Audrey; Thomas Bujnowski & his wife Mary Ann, Edward Bujnowski & his late wife Kay, William Bujnowski & his wife Betty, Henry Bujnowski & his wife Ann, the late Joseph Baynes, the late Stanley Bujnowski, the late Bertha Gesek and the late Mary Mitarnowski; grandmother of Susan Montgomery & her husband Allen, Mary Lynn DeLuca & her husband Anthony, Richard Merkovsky Jr. & his wife Diane, John Merkovsky & his wife Doreen and James Shanahan; great-grandmother of Steven and Melissa DeLuca, John Jr., Christian, Zachary, Justin and Colin Merkovsky. Visitation will be held at the Dzikowski, Pierce & Levis Funeral Home, 24 East 19th Street, Bayonne, on Tuesday October 29th from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm. The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Wednesday October 30th at 9:00 am followed by the Funeral Liturgy in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, East 22nd Street, Bayonne at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
