Helen (nee Stuzynski) Matkowski of Bayonne passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at the age of 95. She was born in Bayonne and was a lifetime resident. Helen was a order entry operator in the computer division at Maidenform for 25 years, retiring in 1982. She was a member of the Downtown Seniors, Bergen Point Seniors and Maidenform Retirees. Mrs. Matkowski was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Mary (nee Abramczyk) Stuzynski; husband Stanley Matkowski of 60 years who passed away in 2003; brother Eugene Stuzynski & his wife Ann. Helen is survived by her sons, Stanley Matkowski and John Matkowski & his wife Loren; grandchildren, Brain and Ashleigh Matkowski; devoted sister Estelle Stuzynski and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at the Dzikowski, Pierce & Levis Funeral Home, 24 East 19th Street, Bayonne on Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Monday at 8:00 a.m. followed by the Funeral Liturgy in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 39 East 22nd Street, Bayonne at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington.
