Grace V. (Sharkey) Allen Obituary

Grace V. (nee Sharkey) Allen of Bayonne passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at the age of 89. She was born in Bayonne and was a lifetime resident. Mrs. Allen was a registered nurse and served in the United States Army during to Korean Conflict. She had attended the Bayonne Hospital School of Nursing and had worked there prior to her retirement. Grace was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Church Rosary Society. Grace was predeceased by her husband, Peter J. Allen; daughter Mary Ann Allen; siblings, Mary Sharkey, Anna Borrmann, Theresa Slivocka, Alice Pfister, John Sharkey and James Sharkey. She is survived by her sons, Peter Allen, Jospeh Allen, John Allen & his wife Lisa and Thomas Allen; sister Helen Ward; brother Bernard Sharkey; and 3 grandchildren, Sean, Kylah & David Allen Visitation will be held at the Dzikowski, Pierce & Levis Funeral Home, 24-32 East 19th Street, Bayonne, NJ on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.. The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Tuesday at 9:45 a.m. followed by a Funeral Liturgy in St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 125 Broadway, Bayonne at 10:45 a.m. Interment Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
