Frances M. Vagan Obituary

Frances M. Vagan (nee: Gorscyca), age 91, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 11, 2019, surrounded by loved ones, in her home in Orleans, Massachusetts. She was born in Bayonne, NJ on June 4, 1927 and resided there until June, 2009. She married Julius F. Vagan on November 27, 1948. Following graduating from Holy Family Academy she worked for Chase Manhattan Bank in New York City. After raising her two children she returned to work at Suburban Savings in Bayonne followed by employment as Head Payroll Clerk for the US Army at MOTBY. Upon retirement she enjoyed traveling with her beloved husband, Julius, to various countries around the world. She is survived by her son, Brother James Vagan of Flushing, NY, her daughter Linda Vagan Hildreth and son-in law Jim Hildreth of Eastham Massachusetts, her nephew, John Malecky of Bayonne, NJ and her niece Roseann Hogan, of Bayonne, NJ, who was like a second daughter to her. Viewing will be held Tuesday, February 19th from 4-8 pm at Dzikowski, Pierce, & Levis Funeral Home, 24 E. 19th St, Bayonne, NJ. Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Parish of St. John Paul II, 39 E. 22nd St., Bayonne, NJ. Internment will follow at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, 340 Ridge Rd., North Arlington, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Camp Marist, 22 Abel Blvd., Effingham, NH 03882.
