Not content with just sitting around the house. Mom kept herself busy by taking care of her garden and yard. Continually upgrading her home. Always finding something to keep herself busy. She was always on the go. Mom was an avid animal lover and enjoy having different pets over the years. In addition to feeding the squirrels and birds from her back porch.
Eventually joining the Senior Citizen groups Prime of Life and Young at Heart. Mom was an active member of both groups; enjoying their meetings, gatherings and parties. Mom made many new friends through these groups. Mom especially enjoyed the theme parties by creating elaborate costumes and such. Visiting the Casinos via bus rides through these organizations and through the Hudson County Animal League. Going on vacation trips and traveling with her family and spending time with her grandchildren and eventually her great-grandchildren. Mom was truly Young at Heart and in the Prime of her life.
