Dorothy "Dot" Wasko (nee Rush) passed away on Friday October 10, 2014 at the age of 81. She was surrounded by her family who cherished her dearly. Dot was the beloved wife of the late Stephen Wasko. The loving mother of five daughters; Diane Sinatra, Joanne Deeney and husband Don, Donna Casey and husband Vinnie, Lisa Sirisky and husband Scott, and Mary Beth Wasko. She was survived by her cherished sister Josephine Parker and predeceased by brothers Stanley Rush, Edward Rush and Richard Rush. Dot was the devoted grandmother of D.J. Deeney and wife Eve, Brian and Kaileen Brennan, Daniel and Emily Casey, and Stephen and Amanda Sirisky and the great grandmother of Sofia, Adam, Luke, and Brooke Deeney. A lifelong resident of Bayonne, Dot worked and volunteered in her community. She enjoyed her work, her time as a girl scout leader, cooking and opening her home and heart to friends and family. She lived her life selflessly and was loved by all who were blessed to know her. A funeral mass will be celebrated in her memory Wednesday October 15th beginning at 10am at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Bayonne. Interment to follow Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visitation at the Dzikowski, Pierce and Levis Funeral Home, 24 East 19 Street, Bayonne on Tuesday 2-4pm and 6-9 pm.
