David J Hurley, 50, of Bayonne NJ was taken from us on October 8, 2015. He was born May 12, 1965 to Daniel J & Eleanore (Kelly) Hurley. He worked for the Port Authority at the Lincoln Tunnel for almost 30 years. David's greatest joy in life was his son, Patrick. They shared a bond that can never be broken. Affectionately known to so many as "UNCLE", he was always the life of the party. David could fix anything and build anything. He had a huge heart; giant shoulders and his generosity knew no limits. He was a proud Irishman who carried the family traditions daily, but looked forward to celebrating his favorite holiday; St. Patrick's Day He is survived by his beloved son Patrick Daniel Hurley, his brother Michael, sisters and brothers in law Maureen Hurley & Norman Brown, Debbie & Mike Forrester. He was the revered uncle of Benjamin Hurley, Daniel, Mackenzie & Matthew Brown, Michael, Kelly, Riley & Danni Forrester, and his constant companion, Comet. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends. Although his life on earth was short in years, he left us with wonderful memories that will last a lifetime. He will continue to hold a special place in the hearts of many. His light will never be extinguished from this world. Visitation will be at the Dzikowski, Pierce & Levis Funeral Home, 24 East 19th Street, Bayonne, N.J. on Monday October 12th from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. The funeral will be held on Tuesday October 13th at 8:30 a.m. from the funeral home followed by the Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Saint Andrew's Church, 125 Broadway, Bayonne, N.J.
