Christopher (Chris) Rey Obituary

Christopher (Chris) Manalo Rey, 46 years of age, of Bayonne, New Jersey, passed away in his home on Sunday, January 3, 2021 from complications of COVID-19.

Christopher was born in Pateros, Metro Manila, Philippines to Solomon Rey and Victoria Rey on November 20, 1974. He married his high school sweetheart, Geraldine A. Cadlaon, on April 11, 2015. He worked as an Accounting Coordinator in Marino Ware and H&M International Transportation. He studied at Hudson Community College and Kean University.

Christ was a loving husband, beloved son, caring brother, fatherly uncle as well as a good friend and brother-in-law. He had a kind and gentle heart. He always lent a hand to people who needed help. He was someone you can count on. He was an active church member at St. Nicholas in Jersey City, New Jersey and St. Andrew in Bayonne, New Jersey for many years. Chris loved spending time with his family and friends. Chris was known for his enormous heart and his listening ear. He was a quiet and private person, but to those who knew him well, he showed how to have fun, too. He will be forever missed.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine; his parents, Solomon and Victoria; his brother, Edgar; sister-in0law, Rhea, brother-in-law, Melvin, and nephew, Caleb. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Geraldine is still battling COVID-19. Our family appreciates your continued support during this  extremely difficult time. Please pray for Chris that he may rest in peace and for Geraldine's continued recovery and healing.
