Chester Sutkowski, a lifelong resident of Bayonne, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at the age of 91. He worked for American Can Company in Jersey City as a machine operator for 30 years prior to his retirement 15 years ago. Chester served in the United States Navy during WWII. Chester was predeceased by his wife, Lillian (nee Prochoacki) Sutkowski; his children, Raymond, Teddy and Lillian Sutkowski; his siblings, Pauline Gawrych, Helen Schelmay and Edward Sutkowski. Chester is survived by his son, Thomas J. Sutkowski, siblings, Steve Sutkowski, Dorothy Lewis and Jean Bryk; and two grandchildren, Jeffrey Szymoniak and Meredith Brandon. There will be a Funeral Mass on Friday, September 25th at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Chruch, 39 East 22nd Street, Bayonne, N.J. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington, NJ. Visitation is private. Arrangements by Dzikowski, Pierce and Levis Funeral Home, 24 East 19th Street, Bayonne, NJ.
