Charlotte Dittrich Obituary

Charlotte Theresa “Reisy” Dittrich (nee Ryer) 74, passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2021. Born in Bayonne, NJ to Henry and Charlotte Marie Ryer (Harbers), she was a lifelong resident of the City.  A dedicated member of Trinity Parish in Bergen Point Reisy served as a member of the altar guild since age 12.  She sang in the church choir, was part of its youth group and as an adult she continued to serve as a licensed Eucharistic Minister and Altar Guild Member.  

She graduated from Mary J. Donohoe School and Bayonne High School before attending Jersey City State College (now NJCU) and earning her bachelor’s degree.  She was employed as a Teacher with the BBOED and gave 39 years of service before retiring in 2011.  After she retired, she enjoyed the time she spent in the company of her 4 grandchildren and her family.  

Devoted wife of the late Vincent W. Dittrich, Charlotte is survived by her son Stephen W. Dittrich and his wife Anastasia, their children: Vincent, Madison, Abigail and Gwendolyn, her sister-law- Barbara C. Dittrich, and many family members and dear friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 9, 2021, 4:00pm-8:00pm at Dzikowski, Peirce and Levis Funeral Home 24-32 E 19th Street, Bayonne, NJ 07002.  A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, December 10, 2021, 10:00 am, Trinity Parish in Bergen Point, 141 Broadway, Bayonne, NJ 07002.  A private cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Memorial Fund of Trinity Parish or The Windmill Alliance, Inc., and sent c/o Trinity Parish in Bergen Point, Attn: Treasurer, 141 Broadway, Bayonne, NJ 07002.
