Caroline J. (Orzechowski) Tatarowicz Obituary

Carole J. (nee Orzekowski) Tatarowicz passed away peacefully on Friday October 30th after an illness, surrounded by her husband of 58 years Roman Tatarowicz, her granddaughter Alexandra and Alexandra's boyfriend Nate. In the last stage of her life's journey Carole was assisted with great care and love by Roman and Marion, her caregiver. Carole was born to Mary (nee Wierbiel) and Stanley Orzekowski in Jersey City, NJ at the Margaret Hague Maternity Hospital on May 20, 1935. She lived in Bayonne, NJ her whole life, where she met her husband Roman at a dance at Mt. Carmel Church Hall. They were married at Mt. Carmel Church on September 22, 1957. Carole worked at Singer manufacturing in New York then became a legal secretary and worked as a paralegal professional for 20 years. Carole and Roman had three children, Roman, Robert, and Linda, and seven grandchildren, Aubrey, Benjamin, and Michael from Robert, and Giovanni Jr. and Alexandra from Linda. Alexandra was born in 1992 on the same day as her beloved Grandma and was there when Grandma went back Home. Carole was full of life and a truly Elegant Lady. Her and Roman were very talented dancers, commanding the dance floor with their graceful swoops at social functions throughout the greater New York area. Carole was an accomplished cook and a master at hosting unforgettable events for family and friends, with fond memories lingering on decades thereafter. A lover of musicals, opera, plays, and fine dining, Carole also joined her family in outdoor adventures at their house in the Poconos, boating and water skiing in the summer and snow skiing in the winter. She traveled throughout North America and Europe with Roman and with her children, enjoying the historic sites, the diverse people she met, and the new friends she made including her Italian in-laws, parents of Linda's husband Giovanni with whom they shared unforgettable times on Lake Como. Carole will be greatly missed by her husband Roman, her children Roman, Robert, and Linda, daughter in-law Lynne, son in law Giovanni, grandchildren Aubrey, Giovanni Jr., Alexandra, Ben, Michael, and by the many friends she made through her remarkable life journey. But most of all, she will be remembered for the great Style she displayed and for the unforgettable times spent with her.
