Carol Plaskon Obituary
Carol Plaskon, a devoted mother and cherished grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2025, at the age of 81. Born and raised in Bayonne. Carol later made her home in Millstone, NJ, where her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love touched the lives of all who knew her.
Carol was predeceased by her beloved husband, John "Jack" Plaskon, her parents George and Veronica Pilanski, and her dear brothers, Colonel Paul Pilanski and Frederick Pilanski. She is survived by her three loving daughters: Joan Marie Passariello (Giulio), Janine Toscano, and Carolyn Barrera (Michael). She was the proud and adoring "Gramma" to her grandchildren: Michael, Kristen, Gina, Nicole, Anthony B., Anthony P., and Jake - all of whom were the light of her life.
Carol graduated from Holy Family Academy and built a career as an executive administrative assistant at Haddad Brands, where her professionalism and dedication were respected and admired. But her most treasured role was that of Gramma never missing a cheerleading routine, baseball inning, football play, or hockey game. Whether it was rain or shine, Carol could always be found on the bleachers, cheering with unmatched pride.
Her faith and family were the cornerstones of her life. She infused every holiday with magic - from legendary Easter egg hunts (which continued well into her grandchildren's 20s) to her treasured "ringing the bells" tradition before placing them on the Christmas tree. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and love.
Carol had a sharp mind and a competitive spirit - especially when it came to her favorite game, words with Friends. She formed lasting friendships around the globe through the game, and few could claim victory against her. She listened with her heart, led with kindness, and lived with a patience that inspired everyone around her. Her open heart never wavered - a quiet strength and steady grace that will live on in her family and in all who were blessed to know her.
Carol leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and faith. We are forever grateful for the beautiful life she shared with us.
