Carmela T. (Lore) Sedlacko

Carmela T. (nee Lore) Sedlacko of Bayonne passed away on Wednesday July 30, 2014 at the age of 96. She was born in Bayonne and was a lifetime resident. Carmela graduated Holy Family Academy in Bayonne and later served as President, Secretary and Treasurer of the Mothers Club. She attended Seton Hall University and graduated from St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in Jersey City. She was a visiting nurse at the Federal Shipyards in Kearny and Port Newark during WWII. Carmela was a member of the Rosary Society of St. Andrew's Church, Bayonne. Mrs. Sedlacko was predeceased by her husband Victor L. Sedlacko; daughter Victoria Gallagher; brother Dominic Lore, sisters Marie Reuter, Rose Herbert and Josephine Hernandez; sons-in-law George Gallagher and Daniel Docherty. She is survived by her daughter Bernadette Docherty and son Victor Sedlacko and his wife Gigi; grandchildren, Daniel and Stephen Gallagher, Maria Kovach, Christine Milligan, Veronica and Victor Sedlacko; and great-grandchildren Kora and Delaney Milligan, Morgan, Zachary and Dylan Kovach and Harrison Gallagher. There will be visitation on Sunday August 3rd from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Dzikowski, Pierce & Levis Funeral Home, 24 East 19th Street, Bayonne. There will be visitation on Monday August 4th from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at St. Ann's Home, 198 Old Bergen Road, Jersey City followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington.
