Antonio DI IORIO Obituary

DI IORIO, Antonio, age 80, of Bayonne passed away Friday, April 9, 2021. Emigrating from Pietrelcina, Italy in 1966, he became a master welder and was a longtime truck mechanic and longshoreman who worked for Sealand and AG Container. He was a longtime member of the Societa Italiana Unita in Lyndhurst. 

Antonio was a skilled craftsman and gardener who applied his talents to home improvement. A dedicated family man, he was known for his good-natured humor and generous spirit. 

He is predeceased by his childhood sweetheart and wofe of 54 years, Giulia (nee Petrone), his parents, Antonio and Maria (nee Lombardi), brother, Nicola; sister, Gaetanina.

He is survived by son, Donald; daughter, Maria; son, Anthony and his wife, Alisa; daughter, Susanna and her husband, Douglas, and stepdaughter, Alyson; brother, Michele and wife Adelide, sister Nicolina and husband Mario; nephews, Michael, Anthony, Mario, Cosimo, Mauro, Stephan; nieces, Antoinette, Donna, Maria Teresa, Luanna, Maria and all their respective spouses and children.

Visitation will be Thursday, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Dzikowski, Pierce & Levis Funeral Home, Bayonne; Funeral Mass, Friday, 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Church, Bayonne; Burial, Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.

In lieu of flowers donation can be made in Antonio's Name to The Cancer Society/Leukemia.
